WildNET

We have combined our 32 years of collaborative research and monitoring of mammalian megafauna in northern Yellowstone with a local community effort to create a dynamic monitoring program aimed at coexistence.

The WildNET program seeks to:

• Create awareness and appreciation for our greatest asset in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem - our wildlife. 

• Provide a scientific understanding to serve as a foundation for habitat restoration of stronghold habitats

• Foster coexistence on connected private and public lands. 

Tools for science, coexistence, and conservation

WildNet is a program formulated around our community science cooperative model, (originally developed through RiverNET) working towards developing new applications for wildlife monitoring through the combination of emerging technologies, community partner involvement, and ecosystem science.

Our technology will allow the measurement and monitoring of reproduction and survival through winter and gathering key information to create statistical models to monitor vital signs of population health.

Cameras for conservation collective (c4cc)

In 2022 YERC and partners Elevate Environmental Solutions and the Conservation Science Collaborative launched a community science cooperative in Paradise Valley, MT.
